Monochrome #4 Violet

Lilac, bishop, emancipation

Violet is a color stimulus and a spectral color that ranges from the short-wave end of visible light, the border to ultraviolet, to about 425 nm and 430 nm, respectively. The complementary colour after subtractive colour mixing is yellow, after additive colour mixing it is green, whereby there, the exact mixture of the respective primary red and blue tone is rather called magenta. Violet is thus a tertiary colour, which results from magenta and blue and is complementary to yellow-green.
