Broken Dreams

The beauty of decay

Worldwide each year the amount of newly founded businesses roughly equals the number of business closures, trade deregistrations and insolvencies. Often the dream of owning one's own shop is over sooner than the dreamlike interior has been paid for. What remains are the material witnesses of the failed glory, who still trumpet the supposedly interesting offer all over the world: overgrown shop fronts, foiled glass without meaning, empty shop windows without goods, neon signs that no longer shine, lettering that is no longer there.
Pretty sad, but also a sad prettiness with lots of room for new ideas!
