The Advanced Search (despite it's name) is pretty straightforward. First click the link called "Advanced" just to the right of the search bar. The Advanced Search bar will open and then you can tell our search engine find exactly what you want it to. You can specify:
Details: If you are searching for a specific photo, photos by a specific photographer or know the file name you are looking for you can enter it here.
-File Name
-Username of the photographer
Orientation: the crop or shape of the photo.
-Square
-Portrait
-Landscape
-Panorama
Resolution: the size photo you want.
-72 dpi
-150 dpi
-300 dpi
Extended Licenses:
-If you check this box, you'll only find photos that have Extended Licenses available.
Style: Black & White or Colour.
-Colour
-Black/White
Colour Search:
-Click on the checkerboard pattern to get started. A spectrum will appear, click anywhere on the spectrum to choose the general colour you are looking for. Once you've clicked on the spectrum you'll notice the box to the left of the spectrum is now an array of colours. Click again within this box and adjust the crosshairs to narrow down to the exact colour you are looking for.
Category: if you want to search for images within a certain category.
To reset the Search panel, (uncheck all the boxes, empty all the fields) you can click the "Reset" link next to the Start Search button.
To close the Advanced Search panel, just click the "Hide" link.
